Post Treatment Checklist

Here is a checklist of what to expect after a mold remediation

Maximizing Your Fogging Treatment Results

By following these simple steps, you'll ensure the best possible outcome after your fogging treatment.

What to Expect

When you walk into your home after treatment, you may notice a slightly spicy scent—this is completely normal and entirely safe! The fogging solution we use is EPA and FDA approved, organic, and designed to eliminate harmful microbes. Think of it like cleaning with vinegar—the strong smell fades over time. Typically, by dinner, your home will be back to its usual scent.

If the odor seems too strong, you can briefly open your windows, turn on your AC, and run your exhaust & ceiling fans to allow fresh air to circulate. Just be sure to close your windows afterward and use a dehumidifier to keep humidity levels in check.

Keeping Your Home Mold-Free

The golden rule is simple: Cool and Dry. Mold thrives in warm, humid conditions, meaning that if the temperature exceeds 76°F with humidity over 60%, mold growth is inevitable. To prevent this, we recommend keeping your thermostat set to at least 74°F and your humidity below 50%

A key tip for Florida homeowners: Always close your windows at night. Unlike other regions, Florida's humidity actually increases overnight, which can lead to mold growth indoors.

Laundry & Cleaning Tips

If you're concerned about mold spores lingering in clothing, add a cup of white vinegar to your laundry (but never mix vinegar with bleach—it creates chlorine gas, which is hazardous 😵).

Vinegar is one of the best natural cleaning agents for your home! It works wonders on floors, windows, bathrooms, and even descaling appliances. While your home may briefly smell like pickles, don't worry—the scent will fade just like our fogging treatment does.

Bonus: Odor Removal

One unexpected perk of our treatment? It eliminates odors! If your air fresheners suddenly seem less effective, we apologize—it means the treatment did its job.

Stay on Top of Maintenance

Regular home maintenance is critical in preventing mold growth. Check out our guide: "How to Prevent Mold Growth in Your Home" for essential tips.

If you haven't already, schedule your routine HVAC maintenance. Your AC plays a vital role in controlling indoor air quality, so ensure it’s running efficiently. This includes cleaning internal components, optimizing fan speed for dehumidification, and maintaining a clean drain pan and line.
